What Would You Do?
What are friends for?
You’ve got this friend back from your school days. He asks you to give him a hand with something. He works for the President, so he can help you out by introducing you to some important people.

So you do what he asks: meet him at a government facility out in the sticks. That’s when stuff gets weird. He wants you to talk to some guy who’s supposed to be more than eight hundred years old!
What would you do?
That’s what Jared Dunlap needs to decide in the first chapter of What Fire Cannot Take. You can read it, along with the prologue and chapter two, for free on Patreon.
All chapters less than two weeks old are free on Patreon. So, chapter one will go behind the $3 paywall this week. Go check it out now! And please, consider a free subscription. It helps with the algorithm and all that stuff.
I don’t have to tell you how terrible Facebook and Instagram have become, and they’re not getting any better. While Patreon is far from perfect, it is becoming the best place for creatives to reach an audience, especially with their new “home feed” and improved support for free followers. I’ve found some outstanding new (to me) writers and artists over there. Let me know if you’d like me to share some details about them.
See you next week!
